Navigating Imposter syndrome
If you ask me about one of my biggest fears, I'd say it's the thought of promoting myself as a photographer. My inner critic is working overtime and the voices in my head are happily shouting: IMPOSTER!! π
Besides my work in the festival industry, photography is my biggest passion though, and is something super, super, super close to my heart...
I've been hooked on photography since I was a teenager, and to this day, I love taking my camera out on sunny days in Amsterdam or capturing behind-the-scenes moments of my colleagues during festival productions. I'm super passionate about capturing the soul and essence of the world around me. My camera is like an extension of myself β it goes wherever I go.
When I hit the streets with my camera, I try to capture raw and authentic moments. Iβm always on the lookout for diverse characters, emotions, and stories that unfold on every corner, aiming to preserve the essence of urban life in a single frame.
I'm just simply drawn to the spontaneity and unpredictability of the streets and my camera becomes an extension of my curiosity, allowing me to explore the world around me and connect with the people who inhabit it.
This passion extends to capturing my hardworking colleagues, as I believe in shining a light on the people behind the scenes who bring festivals to life. I enjoy capturing the laughter, hard work, and even the tough conditions we face as a team. #teamnosleep
